We went camping this past weekend with a bunch of my college friends and their families. Since some of us live in Southern CA, some on the Central Coast, and some in Northern CA, we all met up on our old stomping grounds.

We camped at Lopez Lake (right outside SLO) and had a blast. At one point we had 15 adults, 8 kids ages 1-6, 3 babies, and 1 dog. Surprisingly, there was less chaos than everyone expected. I think everyone would agree that our neighboring campsites caused a lot more mayhem than us!

On Saturday we enjoyed the late morning at a beach on the lake. I was ready to swim, but the water was still a bit chilly.

The kids did so well. They slept all night like champs and even napped together in the tent during the day. They sure love each other!

On Sunday we packed up camp and headed into downtown SLO. Of course we ate at Firestone (even though we ate there on Friday before setting up camp). Those tri-tip steak sandwiches are to die for!
