As friends get further away and our lives get busier, we want to be able to still share our lives with friends and family

A belated Szabo Christmas

Since we weren't able to celebrate Christmas with the Szabos, we went out to a post Christmas brunch at the Jolly Roger.  Yum.  We had fun opening gifts there and back at Pappy & Mammie's house.  Bennett sure loves Christmas!

It is so fun to watch these cousins play!

Christmas in Valley Center

We had the privilege of hosting Izu family Christmas this year.
It is always so nice to spend time with the fam especially when you don't have to cram it into just one night.  We had a fun-filled five days!

Friday night Chris & Jill came down to get some quiet time with us and the kids.  It was wonderful to hang out since we don't get to see each other as often as we'd like.

Saturday morning everyone else arrived in town:
Uncle Bart & Auntie Joni
Cousin Sara, her husband Colin & their son Conner
 Grandma Izu & Grandma Pond
My mom & dad

Since everyone was staying at the Lawrence Welk Resort just down the street, we were able to get tee times on their executive course.  So fun!
Seven of us played golf in the beautiful afternoon weather.
(Of course no one caught it on camera!)

That night we had BBQ dinner at our house & just spent time with everyone.

"We look more like each other than our mamas!?!"

Sunday morning we all woke up & went to the San Diego Safari Park.
It wasn't crowded AT ALL!

Autumn had some snuggle time with Papa

Sunday we had a relaxing date night out while the GGs and grandparents watched the kiddos.

Monday was Christmas Eve
We just played & cooked all day.  I will say the turkey turned out delicious as always (brining a turkey is the way to go).  Everyone brought other yummy food and helped make hosting VERY easy.  Thanks guys!

Meeting Santa

We went with Pappy, Mammie, Jordy, Darcy, and Jolie to the mall to meet Santa.
This year Bennett was okay with it, but Autumn was not too happy!

Old friends

And by old...I don't mean age.  (Because in my mind, I will never be old.)  But I mean friends that have been around for quite some time.  Kristyn, Tara, and I went to junior high, high school, and Cal Poly together.  All three of us managed to meet husbands in San Luis Obispo, but all ended up down here in the San Diego area.  So fun!  We try to get together when we can...

This was a fun Women's Night Event that Tara coordinated at the Rancho Bernardo Inn.

Early Szabo Christmas

Wyley & Brittany came into town & we had a fun filled Szabo weekend.

To start off the holiday season, we had our annual Christmas tea.
(Lately it hasn't been so annual, but we all have good intentions.)

This year we went to a little place in Escondido.

After tea, we headed back to the Szabos for an early Christmas.

The next day we got together for a Szabo Christmas picture at the beach & then we had a baby shower for Wyley & Brittany.
